A Chicago police officer has died and another seriously injured in what authorities are calling a shooting spree in the city’s West Side.
Police responded to a 911 call about a person shooting at a residence in the 3300 block of North Elston Avenue shortly after midnight Wednesday, according to police.
A man was found shot to death at the scene and an officer was wounded in the leg, authorities said.
Police did not say where the shooting took place.
No arrests have been made, police said.
