Oreobuck, short for Oreo Buck, is a delicious, crunchy treat that can be purchased at most grocery stores.
If you’re like me and prefer Oreo to other candy, you probably also prefer Oreos without Oreobucking.
But Oreo has become a big part of our diet, and it’s not only because of its crunchy texture.
The Oreo cookie has also become a part of the diet of many other foods.
The good news is that Oreos can be made with a lot less sugar and are low in calories.
The bad news is, Oreos are not made with the ingredients we need.
Oreos have become the staple snack that we crave every single day, and the more we eat them, the more likely we are to overeat.
And Oreos, of course, are delicious.
The healthiest way to avoid eating Oreolos is to buy your Oreos at the grocery store, and make your own version of Oreo bars or cookies.
The best way to make Oreo bar or cookies at home is to follow the simple recipe below.
Oreo Bar Cookies recipe:1 cup whole wheat flour (we used a low-sugar version of whole wheat, like the one at Whole Foods)1 cup all-purpose flour1 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup baking powder1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 cup warm water1 cup buttermilk1/3 cup water1/8 cup almond milk1 teaspoon vanilla extractFor the Oreo dough:In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla.
Add the water and almond milk.
Mix until the dough comes together and is very elastic.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for at least 4 hours.
After the dough has risen, you can remove the plastic wrap from the bowl and let the dough rise in the refrigerator.
After it has risen overnight, remove the bowl from the refrigerator and let rise for another 4 hours, or until doubled in size.
When it is doubled in mass, it is ready to be shaped.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and the almond milk and mix well.
Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
Using a 1-inch cookie cutter, cut each piece of Oreos into 2 equal pieces, leaving 1 inch of extra dough at the end.
Fill each Oreo ball with the warm almond milk mixture and top with the cookie pieces.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and a little cinnamon sugar if you like, and sprinkle with baking powder if you want a more crunchy cookie.
Make sure the cookies are well chilled before eating them.
If you want, you could make some for yourself by using this recipe and making your own Oreo Bars, or you could go with the recipe below and make the cookies for yourself.
The recipe makes about 16 Oreos or 1.5 dozen bars.
For the cookie dough:Mix together the buttermilks, water and flour in a small bowl until smooth.
In a separate bowl, add the almond water, buttermils, baking sugar and salt.
Pour in the warm buttermiler, almond milk, almond flour and almond mixture.
Continue to mix well, until smooth and elastic.
Cover with plastic, and let sit for at at least 1 hour before eating. Enjoy!
