Dara Khatro, Twitter’s chief operating officer, said the company is looking at how to move beyond the days of the hashtag as the company continues to grow.
“The last year, Twitter was one of the most visible companies in the world,” Khosro said.
“But that is changing and I think we’re looking at the way we’re going to go forward and the way that we’re gonna change how we’re doing things in order to move into a different way.”

“The company has faced increasing scrutiny since its CEO Dina Powell was fired in February after more than four months on the job.
The firing led to a series of controversies and the resignation of Powell, who had been at the company for nearly 20 years.
Khatro said he was aware of the problems and the “terrible, horrible thing that we went through” during Powell’s tenure, but he said that the company was still able to grow quickly.”
